They kept having misfires and plug fouling. I recommended they try a VCM disabler. They got the VCM tuner 2 , replaced the fouled plugs and, last I asked, they haven’t had anymore issues. Also, it’s pretty easy to replace front pads and rotors on the Odyssey. I did mine and saved a lot.

There has yet to be a single thread from an owner with issues directly related to VCM (worn engine mounts, oil ring issues, etc). Some of the early 2018 vans are now exceeding 100K or more miles.With VCM, both heads have to be removed and head gaskets replaced, but also oil pan removed, pistons and rods removed, re-ringed, and put back together.
