In my province they made it law at the beginning of the year that employers must give 5 days of paid sick leave per year, so instead of giving the extra paid sick leave, Amazon just raised the amount of PTO they give to 7 days, so 70 hours for T1's. 6.Associates are subject to termination when they are negative UPT balance and no PTO to raise it to positive e.g AA is -2 UPT but uses 5 hours of PTO to change the UPT balance to 3 hours of UPT. They've saved themselves from getting "promoted to customer". I've actually seen another Associate stay at 0 UPT balance for 45 days.Meaning that I was scheduled for 16 hours per work day. I never accumulated points and literally had unlimited upt until work flow fixed my schedule. I would miss work for a full 10 hour day and my balance would always remain at 80. I must have used over 400 hours and always maintained a full balance.Standard policy is negative UPT equals termination. If they haven't acted on it, it's because they've overlooked it or they have a definitive need to keep you on board for the time being, probably through peak. Everyone below zero in UPT can and will be fired when they have the time to catch up to you. That is the policy.
