If you are looking for a range toy or entry level competition the modified Prodigy would be decent. If you are purchasing for home defense or CCW then the Staccato P without question. There is no substitute for reliability. Staccato Ps don't need to cost $2.5k, but it's foolish to expect a pistol thats $1k cheaper to be "just as good". No free lunch and Staccato is still the baseline for a double stack that honest to goodness works from the start. This is a showdown of the entry model 2011 world. The Staccato is a 2011 (frame + grip module) while the Wilson is a 1911 (frame/grip frame + grip panels), but both double-stack 9mm handguns. The grip on the Staccato is noticeably larger, fatter than the EDC. The Staccato is super reliable, a flat shooter, and one of my more accurate shooters (along with the EDC).Staccato 2011s are a bit too steep for me in price. So, I have done a lot of research and ended up stuck between these two.
