Assuming you mean the lil, mini spoiler like thing extending off the top/rear of the cab, i doubt that will make a big difference. I think that the Kimbo was designed for a different climate (Pacific Northwest). As such, it has artic term windows, insulation, and a bulletproof aluminum skin. The Capri campers are bigger, have some nice wood interiors, and have indoor showers and toilets if I recall. Slept in the Kimbo every night, performed perfectly. Made it down through Moab again, so much fun. Then (unintentionally) took the Truck on a Jeep Trail in Canyonlands NP, I was certainly concerned for the dirt bike hanging off the back, the Kimbo, and truck drawers but everything was just fine. Good field testing.
I certainly don't want to damage the Kimbo with a lead acid battery, but I still don't understand how car/truck batteries do fine in sub zero temps. They use lead acid batteries in the engine bay and they are recharging as soon as the vehicle starts running of gas/diesel.
