The Greenbush Autism Assessment Team (AAT) aims to help remove barriers to accessing diagnostic developmental appointments for children in the southeast Kansas area. The team provides evaluations for ages 18 months to 5 years in partnership with local pediatricians and the University of Kansas Center for Childhood Health and Development (CCHD). Direct Applied Behavioral Analysis services are available for young children diagnosed with autism. This service uses behavior analytic approaches to teach a wide variety of communication, social, self-care and cognitive skills to children with developmental issues. Services are generally provided one-on-one in the home and community environment.Care Managers, specially trained in treating ASD, assist families through the process of obtaining a diagnosis and authorizing treatment.
