1 Answer. You know, It could be the half shaft is going bad. That could explain the thumping on acceleration if it is a continuous thumping. If its only once it is probably a motor or transmission mount. If you are into doing things yourself, lets start with the half shaft. Put the vehicle in park. Set the park brake.One test you might try is to remove the electrical connector from the passenger side blend actuator, then change some settings and see if the clicking returns. If the clicking is gone, that should confirm that actuator is the bad one. The screws on it require a 5.5mm socket. 7/32" works well, too. HTH.
